"The suicide forest"

Hello everyone, once again the "History Channel" is exploiting the so called "2012 Phenomenon". So has anyone heard of this place? Well it is a fact that a region of japan near mount Fuji , there is a place the Japanese people call "The suicide Forest", now i have no idea how this forest is connected to "Ancient Aliens" but the History channel and "Ancient Astronauts Theorist" have made a link to this place where according to Japanese legend has drawn people into these dark Erie woodlands to commit suicide. The legend is said to go back thousands of years and continues to this day. Japanese Officials state that several hundred people a year are found dead after being drawn to this place, the most common way people die here is by hanging themselves from the trees deep inside this dark forest, and many other people have came there and have never been found, is this weird or what?
